Corporate Finance Analyst
About this role
The Corporate Finance Analyst will support financial planning, investment analysis, project monitoring, and market research activities to aid strategic decision-making and business growth at a level 9 officer grade. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, and reporting directly to the Executive Director, Finance & Strategy, the role requires strong analytical skills and financial modeling capability to track and report on key projects and business initiatives. The analyst will bridge the gap between financial analysis and corporate strategy, ensuring project risks and market opportunities are identified to drive business evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive financial models, conduct investment appraisals, and perform cost-benefit analyses.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning activities, and the preparation of management reports.
- Monitor project progress against timelines, budgets, and KPIs while identifying financial risks or budget variances.
- Conduct extensive industry, competitor, and market research to prepare strategic market intelligence insight reports.
- Support corporate strategy development by preparing presentations, business cases, and due diligence exercises.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather timely project updates and participate in strategic review meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related professional field.
- 3–4 years of active experience in Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, Investment Analysis, Strategy, or Project Management.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong core competencies in budgeting, forecasting, project tracking, and market intelligence research.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills with high attention to detail.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN are an added advantage.
