Production Operations Engineer / Technician
About this role
Nasomn Limited is seeking an experienced Production Operations Engineer / Technician for a full-time contract position in Warri, Delta. In this technical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the physical and logical integrity of midstream oil and gas processing facilities, specifically focusing on gas fractionation and loading infrastructure. This role requires an advanced combination of hands-on field surveillance and central control room process optimization to maintain strict product specifications, safety protocols, and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive field surveillance, collect plant readings, and systematically report processing anomalies.
- Operate plant equipment including pumps, compressors, reboilers, separators, and LPG/CNG loading stations.
- Perform facility start-up/shutdown operations and enforce Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
- Operate fractionation towers (including deethanizer, depropanizer, and debutanizer columns) and their auxiliary systems.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize core fractionation processes directly from the central control room.
- Maintain strict LPG product specifications utilizing Gas Chromatography (GC) data analysis.
- Provide immediate support and technical coordination during emergency response activities.
- HND, B.Sc., or B.Eng. in Engineering or the Physical Sciences.
- Minimum of 10 years of cognate, hands-on operational experience within a similar gas processing facility.
- Active professional membership with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) or the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
- COREN registration or a relevant engineering professional certification.
- Prior HAZOP/HAZID safety training is highly preferred and will be an added advantage.
