About this role

Matrix Energy Group is seeking a full-time Brand, Design & Corporate Comms Officer in Lagos, Nigeria. Operating within the Oil & Gas industry, this role supports the development and execution of internal and external communication initiatives through visual design, content creation, branding, and employee engagement activities. The officer is responsible for strengthening Matrix's employee and corporate brand, enhancing stakeholder engagement, improving brand visibility, and ensuring consistent messaging across all communication platforms and business units in alignment with organizational values and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and design visual communication materials—including graphics, brochures, banners, presentations, and infographics—aligned with Matrix brand standards.
  • Ensure branding consistency across all internal and external channels while supporting the governance of corporate brand guidelines.
  • Create and manage internal newsletters, communication bulletins, and materials for internal announcements, town halls, and employee engagement campaigns.
  • Design onboarding materials, employee handbooks, event branding, and cultural or employee value proposition (EVP) communication assets.
  • Develop engaging content, graphics, and multimedia assets for corporate social media platforms, websites, recruitment campaigns, CSR initiatives, and sustainability programs.
  • Support content development for media releases, executive communication materials, speeches, and external stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Manage corporate social media accounts by scheduling approved content, monitoring trends, and providing periodic performance analytics and engagement reports.
  • Liaise with business units and project teams to gather project updates, photographs, and content requirements while coordinating with external vendors and agencies.
  • Coordinate and support photography, videography, and content capture for organizational activities, projects, and corporate events.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to Corporate Services, and maintain communication assets, templates, and content repositories.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Mass Communication, Graphic Design, Marketing, Media Studies, Public Relations, or any related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communications, Branding, Digital Media, Content Development, or Graphic Design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
  • Working knowledge of Canva, Figma, and content management platforms. Strong copywriting, content editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Basic understanding of corporate communication principles, employer branding strategies, and experience with social media management tools.
  • Knowledge of digital analytics, reporting tools, and basic photography or video editing capability is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management, and multi-priority management skills with high attention to detail.
