I.T Officer (NYSC)

South Shore Women’s and Children’s Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented young professional for the full-time position of I.T Officer (NYSC) in Lagos. Operating within a specialist healthcare facility known for its culture of excellence, efficiency, and empathy, this entry-level role is tailored for actively serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members. The officer will manage the hospital's digital infrastructure, provide technical support to medical and administrative staff, and ensure the smooth, uninterrupted operation of critical hardware and software systems to help deliver seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to hospital staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.

• Assist in the maintenance and configuration of computers, printers, servers, network routers, and peripheral electronic equipment.

• Support the administration and troubleshooting of the hospital’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and other internal databases.

• Monitor local area networks (LAN) and internet connectivity to ensure stable, high-speed access across all medical departments.

• Assist in data backup procedures, system updates, and the implementation of basic cybersecurity and data privacy measures.

• Maintain a structured inventory of the hospital's I.T. assets, tracking hardware deployments and system maintenance schedules.

Requirements

• Must be a current NYSC corper deployed to Lagos or preparing to stream into camp with placement flexibility.

• Candidates should possess relevant academic qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related discipline.
