About this role
Checkoff Finance is seeking an experienced, business-focused Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for a hybrid position in Ikeja, Lagos. This role focuses on aligning people strategies with business objectives across assigned business units. Serving as a strategic advisor to leadership, employee champion, and change agent, the HRBP will drive organizational effectiveness, manage complex stakeholder dynamics, and remain open to travelling across multiple business locations.
Key Responsibilities-
Partner with leadership to provide strategic workforce solutions, workforce planning, and succession programs.

Drive end-to-end performance management, employee engagement frameworks, and leadership coaching.

Manage employee relations, resolve workplace grievances, and maintain strict compliance with Nigerian labor laws.

Support change management, corporate restructuring, and internal business transformation projects.

Analyze core HR metrics and operational workforce trends to drive informed, data-backed decision-making.

Coordinate with recruitment teams to optimize talent acquisition, structured onboarding, and long-term retention.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a strategic HR or HRBP role, supporting multiple business units.

Willingness and openness to travel across various business locations.

Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws, stakeholder management, and analytical problem-solving.

Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or lending is preferred.

Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Competitive monthly salary of โฆ550,000 Net.
