About this role
Quidax, a licensed cryptocurrency infrastructure provider operating for over 7 years, is recruiting a full-time Head of Institutional Sales (FX & OTC). This strategic leadership role reports to the VP, B2B Sales and is based out of Lagos, Nigeria on a hybrid work structure. The successful candidate will own the performance and revenue targets of the Over-The-Counter (OTC) trading desk, focusing on building a scalable, risk-aware book of repeat clients among high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and institutions.
Key Responsibilities-
OTC Revenue & Desk Build: Own all OTC volume, revenue, and margin targets while designing the operational framework for pricing, approvals, limits, and clean post-trade settlements.

Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage a disciplined team of OTC sales representatives and traders, fostering a high-performance culture devoid of reckless risk-taking.

Client & Portfolio Management: Cultivate long-term, high-trust relationships with HNWIs, corporate entities, funds, and market makers to maintain portfolio retention across varied market cycles.

Risk Management & Governance: Set and enforce strict trade and client risk limits, ensure compliance with KYC/AML regulations, and navigate African liquidity and FX complexities.

Tenure: 7 to 12+ years of dedicated experience in crypto OTC trading or institutional sales.

Leadership: Proven track record of building and running an institutional OTC desk, including direct people management.

Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of pricing mechanics, spreads, hedging strategies, and clearing/settlement procedures.

Competencies: Deep relationship network within crypto OTC markets, excellent negotiation skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and stability under market volatility.
