About this role

Filmhouse Group, which operates multiple businesses within the media and entertainment space (including Filmone Entertainment and Filmhouse Cinemas), is recruiting a full-time HR Business Partner. Based in Victoria Island, Lagos, this role serves within the corporate operations management team to align people strategy with international best practices. The position focuses primarily on managing talent pipelines, executing structured HR administration, supporting performance reviews, and providing operational people support across multiple cinema sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition: Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, manage candidate pipelines, handle interview scheduling, and maintain structured assessment guides.

  • HR Administration: Manage onboarding and offboarding workflows, prepare employment documentation (such as offer letters and contracts), support payroll inputs, and ensure compliance with Nigerian labor law.

  • Performance Management: Coordinate the monthly Performance Review (MPR) process, provide managers with evaluation templates, and track probation timelines.

  • Cinema Operations Support: Support site-specific people activities and maintain process consistency across support office and field teams by working closely with the People Operations Officer – Cinemas.

  • Systems & Data: Maintain accurate metrics across HR and ERP systems, and generate regular data snapshots and dashboards to support the reporting cycle.

Requirements Primary Experience & Skills
  • Tenure: 3–5 years of progressive HR experience within a structured, multi-functional environment.

  • Recruitment & Admin: Solid track record in full hiring cycle coordination, pipeline building, documentation, and records management.

  • Core Competencies: Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, high attention to detail, strong written communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Tech Mindset: Actively curious about leveraging AI tools to improve the efficiency and quality of everyday HR work.

Primary Education
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: CIPM, PHRi, or an equivalent professional HR certification.

  • Industry Background: Previous experience in a multi-site hospitality, entertainment, or retail environment.

  • Systems Exposure: Familiarity with ERP/HRIS software and structured HR reporting frameworks.
