About this role

ECWA Hospital, Egbe—a division of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA)—is a 110-bed rural teaching hospital established in 1952 and located in Egbe, Kogi State. The hospital is recruiting a full-time Human Resource Manager. Reporting directly to the Administration Manager, this leadership role acts as the vital link between hospital management and its employees. The HR Manager will oversee staff development, recruitment, and workplace culture to ensure optimal operational support for the hospital's extensive multi-clinic healthcare complex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Oversee the end-to-end recruiting and structured orientation processes for all new staff members.

  • Strategic Development: Consult directly with the Management team on strategic planning for staff development and coordinate continuous training programs.

  • Workplace Culture: Foster a unified team culture across the medical and administrative divisions while maintaining deep knowledge of the Hospital's Conditions of Service.

Requirements Experience & Skills
  • Tenure: Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resource Management or closely related experience in organizing, directing, and leading others.

  • Legal & Domain Knowledge: Full understanding of Nigerian Labor Law, alongside specialized high emotional intelligence and employee coaching skills.

  • Core Competencies: Proven decision-making, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills, with an ability to work diligently under pressure while maintaining absolute confidentiality.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient computer skills and structural knowledge of email, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education & Certifications
  • Degree: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Human Resources Management.

  • National Service: Must possess a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge or Exemption Certificate.

  • Assets: Additional coursework in conflict management, industrial psychology, or other related fields is considered a valuable asset.
