About this role

Brit Properties Nigeria Limited, a real estate development and property marketing firm established in 2017, is recruiting a full-time HR Compliance Manager. Based at the company's office in Ajah, Lagos, this position focuses on protecting the organization by ensuring all internal human resource operations, employee relations, and administrative workflows align perfectly with statutory Nigerian labor laws and corporate governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy & Legal Monitoring: Develop, implement, and maintain internal HR policies while closely monitoring employment legislation changes to advise executive management on structural compliance risks.

  • Audits & Investigations: Conduct regular internal HR compliance audits to spot gaps, lead investigations into workplace compliance issues, and partner with Legal and Internal Audit teams on corrective resolutions.

  • Documentation & System Governance: Ensure strict oversight regarding employment contracts, employee documentation, mandatory record retention, and the handling of sensitive staff data in compliance with data privacy laws.

  • Process Oversight: Monitor structural compliance during onboarding, offboarding, performance evaluation cycles, and disciplinary actions.

  • Training & Reporting: Design and facilitate corporate training sessions covering ethics, workplace conduct, and HR policies, while tracking compliance metrics to report to senior management.

Requirements Experience & Sector Background
  • Tenure: 3–5 years of progressive human resources experience.

  • Specialization: Must include at least 2–3 years specifically focused on HR compliance, regulatory affairs, or employee relations.

  • Core Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, solid conflict-resolution skills, excellent communication, and an objective investigative approach.

Education & Certifications
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a closely related discipline.

  • Professional Assets: Holding a recognized professional HR credential (such as CIPM, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or HRCI) is considered an added advantage.
