About the Role Carbon Microfinance Bank is recruiting a full-time IT Support Intern in Lagos. Operating within a high-accountability "marine-squad" culture, this role is responsible for supporting day-to-day enterprise IT operations, resolving hardware and software issues, and providing Level I technical support on-site and remotely to maximize service uptime across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support: Provide Level I helpdesk support on-site and remotely across multiple time zones, resolving workstation hardware and software issues for users.
Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows servers, Linux servers, desktop environments, Apple macOS systems, and corporate networking/VPN services.
Telephony & Call Center: Manage, configure, and support enterprise call center services and open-source VoIP frameworks.
Vendor & Inventory Control: Maintain operational relationships with ISPs to monitor SLA compliance, track hardware/software inventory lists, and initiate procurement purchase requisitions.
Cloud & SaaS Administration: Administer, troubleshoot, and support corporate cloud-based services and cloud SaaS tools.

Requirements

Experience & Skills

Tenure: 2–3 years of progressive experience operating in an enterprise IT support role supporting 100 or more users.
Hardware & Network Administration: Hands-on experience working directly with Cisco, Mikrotik, and Ubiquiti networking infrastructure devices.
Systems & Automation: Proven track record managing MacOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems in production environments, supplemented by basic Bash or Python scripting skills.

Technical Literacy

VoIP Systems: Practical experience managing open-source VoIP environments such as Asterisk, Elastix, or 3CX platforms.
Preferences: Holding valid technical certifications like CCNA, CCNP, Red Hat, Microsoft, AWS Solutions Architect, or GCP, alongside relational database experience (MySQL/PostgreSQL), is a distinct advantage.
