Hospital Accountant

Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Centre is a multidisciplinary cardiovascular and cardiac rehabilitation facility operating 24/7 in Lekki, Lagos.

The Hospital Accountant will support financial management and operational efficiency across the centre, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with statutory requirements.

• Maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards and internal policies
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Monitor revenue cycles, including patient billing, insurance claims, and HMO reconciliations
• Ensure proper accounting for cash collections, POS transactions, and hospital revenues
• Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and expenditure reports
• Support cost control initiatives and provide financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements, and coordinate internal and external audits
• Develop and implement financial controls and policies
• Support management with strategic planning and decision-making

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent) is an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience in a healthcare or hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of hospital billing systems, HMOs, and revenue cycle management
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
