Coding and Robotics Instructor
About this role
Discovering Talents Academy is seeking a Coding and Robotics Instructor to teach primary school pupils, develop computational thinking and practical STEM skills, and guide students through coding and robotics projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons in Scratch, mBlock, Python, website and mobile app development
- Teach robotics, electronics, sensors, motors, Arduino and automation concepts
- Guide students through designing, building, programming, testing and debugging projects
- Use hands-on activities to promote creativity, problem-solving and innovation
- Prepare students for coding, robotics and STEM competitions
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records
- Provide individualized support and prepare progress reports for parents
- Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-organized learning environment
- Ensure proper and safe use of coding and robotics equipment
- Collaborate with parents, teachers and support staff to promote student development
- Participate in STEM fairs, coding clubs, robotics competitions and professional development activities
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of coding and robotics education
- Ability to teach programming, electronics and robotics concepts to primary school pupils
- Excellent communication, classroom management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop engaging, project-based learning activities
- Passion for STEM education, innovation and skill development
