Head of Debt Collections

Moniepoint is a financial platform providing payment, banking, credit and business-management services.

Lead the architecture and execution of debt-collection strategies across business and consumer lending, with a focus on reducing losses and improving recovery.

• Design segmented collections and recovery frameworks.
• Build the team structure and operational systems.
• Direct legal recovery strategy and external counsel.
• Manage regulatory, law-enforcement and stakeholder engagements.
• Design incentives and performance frameworks.
• Train and develop collections teams.
• Report recovery, cost and portfolio performance.
• Partner with credit, legal, risk and finance.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 7 years in credit or debt recovery.
• Senior leadership of high-value non-performing loan recovery.
• Experience across corporate and digital or retail collections.
• Knowledge of Nigerian debt-recovery laws and banking regulations.
• Experience with digital collections tools and segmentation.
• Experience building collections functions, systems and teams.
• National recovery-operation and legal-network experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and decision-making skills.
