Head of Engineering, Field Verification

Moniepoint provides payment, banking, credit and business-management services across its financial platform.

Own the technical direction of the field-verification platform used for KYC checks across onboarding, loans, compliance and fraud operations.

• Own platform strategy, architecture and roadmap.
• Move the domain from maintenance mode to prioritised delivery.
• Lead and grow the cross-functional engineering team.
• Improve trip, route and capacity management.
• Own APIs, webhooks and the back office.
• Deliver a native mobile experience for field officers.
• Ensure verification data is auditable and compliance-ready.
• Build for expansion into additional countries.
• Partner with product and dependent business units.
• Set engineering standards and hire technical leaders.

• 10+ years of software-engineering experience.
• At least 5 years leading engineering teams, including managers.
• Substantial hands-on production engineering experience.
• Backend depth with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience across backend, web and mobile disciplines.
• Experience building platforms used by multiple teams.
• Strong stakeholder collaboration and translation skills.
• Location, geospatial, route or delivery optimisation experience is preferred.
• Compliance, identity, KYC or verification-platform experience is a plus.
