Head of Engineering, Payment Gateway

Moniepoint provides payment, banking, credit and business-management tools for businesses and individuals.

Own the technical direction of Monnify, an online payment gateway connecting merchants and developers to card networks, banks and payment aggregators.

• Own the platform strategy, architecture and roadmap.
• Lead multiple engineering teams through managers.
• Own APIs, SDKs, documentation and developer experience.
• Drive multi-currency and international platform evolution.
• Ensure reliability, scalability and security.
• Align technical investment with product and commercial goals.
• Hire, mentor and develop engineering managers.

• 10+ years of software-engineering experience.
• At least 5 years in engineering leadership.
• 5+ years writing and shipping production Java.
• At least 5 years managing engineering managers.
• Payments, fintech or financial-services experience.
• API-first product and developer-platform expertise.
• Strong backend skills in distributed transactional systems.
• Payment gateway or multi-currency platform experience is preferred.
