Head, Product Control & Accounting

Moniepoint is an all-in-one financial ecosystem providing payment, banking, credit and management tools.

Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure products, features and pricing changes have sound accounting treatment, controls and general-ledger mapping.

• Provide technical accounting input to product and engineering.
• Prepare accounting memos for new or changed products.
• Design and maintain the chart of accounts.
• Map customer journeys to GL treatment.
• Review product specifications before launch.
• Reconcile transaction data with the general ledger.
• Design maker-checker and exception controls.
• Maintain product accounting documentation.
• Partner with control, audit and external assurance teams.

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• 8+ years post-qualification experience.
• Big Four technical accounting or audit background.
• Strong IFRS 15 and IFRS 9 knowledge.
• Experience translating product design into accounting treatment.
• Comfort reading product specifications and working with engineers.
• Payments, fintech or banking experience is preferred.
• Chart-of-accounts design experience is preferred.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting and agile product teams is preferred.
