Video Scriptwriter / Screenwriter
About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Research topics thoroughly and gather reliable source materials.
- Write engaging scripts, screenplays, narrations, and other video content.
- Review videos, audio recordings, documents, and other source materials.
- Develop compelling stories with strong structure and pacing.
- Rewrite and refine scripts based on feedback.
- Ensure scripts are accurate, clear, original, and grammatically correct.
- Support content development for company-owned and client projects.
- Organize research materials, references, and project files.
Requirements
- Degree, HND, OND, or relevant qualification in English, Mass Communication, Journalism, Creative Writing, Film/TV, Theatre Arts, or a related field. Exceptional writers may be considered regardless of background.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong research and fact-checking skills.
- Ability to turn raw information into compelling narratives.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
- Basic familiarity with photo, video, or audio editing tools is an advantage.
- Best suited for candidates living close to the Kuola area, Ibadan.
