Cashier

SPAR Nigeria is recruiting to fill the position of a full-time Cashier located in Ilupeju / Anthony, Lagos. This role is focused on handling transactional operations, maintaining checkout accuracy, and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be details-oriented, possess strong mathematical skills, and accurately follow company procedures to ensure seamless processing of customer purchases, returns, and payment management.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently operate the cash register and POS system to process customer purchases.

• Process a variety of payment methods including cash, cheques, POS transactions, and credit or debit cards.

• Manage customer returns and product exchanges in accordance with company guidelines.

• Verify that all item prices and quantities are correct and issue a receipt to every customer.

• Prepare and raise invoices for transactions while maintaining clean and tidy checkout areas.

• Follow all established company processes and operational workflows accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) qualification.

• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a retail environment (though not essential).

• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment such as cash registers, scanners, and money counters.

• Strong communication, time management, sales, and mathematical skills.

• High attention to detail with a strong orientation toward driving customer satisfaction.
