About this role
Renmoney, a leading fintech and consumer lending company in Nigeria, is recruiting a full-time Cards Data Analyst. Based on-site at the corporate headquarters in Lagos, this analytical position sits within the cards and payments business unit to translate portfolio transaction data into clear business strategies.
The Cards Data Analyst will monitor performance across the card issuance lifecycle—from activation to transaction velocity and revenue generation. Combining advanced SQL data extraction, structural data cleaning, and dynamic Power BI dashboard development, the role provides the data-driven insights needed to track customer behavior, spot anomalies, and optimize digital payment growth.
Key Responsibilities-
Portfolio Data Analysis: Extract and clean card portfolio datasets to isolate transaction trends, spending habits, user drop-off points, and general usage patterns.

Metric Reporting: Prepare recurring reports outlining core performance indicators, including issuance rates, card activation velocity, wallet utilization metrics, and overall interchange revenue.

Dashboard Engineering: Build, deploy, and maintain interactive business dashboards using Power BI or Tableau to provide real-time updates for business teams.

Process Automation: Structure pipeline queries and write scripts to automate recurring financial reporting pipelines, eliminating manual calculation tasks.

Anomaly Monitoring: Audit transaction flows continuously to flag system variances, transaction anomalies, and operational optimization areas.

Data Management Support: Partner with data engineering and core backend infrastructure units to enforce data quality standards, secure data governance, and capture data points accurately.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.

Experience Baseline: Between 2 to 4 years of professional experience operating as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or Portfolio Data Analyst—ideally within banking, fintech, or payment systems.

Technical Tooling: Advanced proficiency in writing SQL queries and a deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data validation and modeling.

Visualization Stack: Hands-on experience developing business dashboards using data visualization software such as Power BI or Tableau.

Data Manipulation: Proven ability to manage large, unstructured transactional datasets, write data cleaning scripts, and execute rigorous data validation checks.
