Head of Engineering, POS Application Platform

Moniepoint provides payment, banking, credit and business-management services through a large POS network.

Own the Kotlin-based application platform beneath Moniepoint’s POS products, including standards, tooling, reliability and adoption across device teams.

• Set the platform strategy and architecture.
• Own developer experience, libraries, SDKs and tooling.
• Define reliability, observability and quality standards.
• Govern engineering standards across device types and OEMs.
• Lead embedded POS engineers across product squads.
• Own incident response and device observability.
• Define onboarding and governance for new devices.
• Partner with OEM and hardware teams.
• Build and scale the platform team.
• Improve CI/CD and developer productivity.

• 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
• 6+ years leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on software engineering on POS terminal devices.
• EMV knowledge and PCI DSS or P2PE certification experience.
• Deep Android, Kotlin and Java expertise.
• Experience building internal platforms and shared tooling.
• Experience across multiple POS device manufacturers.
• Experience scaling platform engineering functions.
• Regulated high-volume payments experience.
