Reports to: Regional Credit Manager

About the Role
As a Field Credit Officer, you'll onboard and manage businesses accessing Moniepoint's credit products — growing a loan portfolio while ensuring healthy repayment. You'll assess businesses using the 5Cs of credit (with a focus on capacity, character, and capital) and guide credit decisions from application to disbursement.

What You'll Do

• Identify and onboard viable businesses in your area to open Moniepoint business accounts
• Help customers optimize account usage to qualify for credit
• Review, approve, or decline loan requests through thorough analysis
• Conduct on-site visits to evaluate business books, inventory, and turnover
• Meet gross loan portfolio and profit targets
• Monitor active loans for continued account use and repayment performance
• Handle other credit-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• OND minimum in a business-related field
• 2+ years in sales for credit products at a financial institution
• Solid understanding of credit risk analysis
• Financial analysis knowledge is a plus
• Must reside in one of the following zones:
  • Benue: Benue North West, Benue Central, Benue North East, Benue South
  • FCT Abuja: Abuja Municipal, Bwari
  • Kogi: Kogi East, Kogi Central, Kogi West
  • Kwara: Ilorin, Kwara South, Kwara North East, Kwara North West
  • Nasarawa: Karu, Nasarawa South, Nasarawa Central
  • Niger: Niger North, Niger South, Niger East, Suleja
  • Plateau: Plateau South, Plateau North, Plateau Central
