The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is a leading research organisation addressing hunger, malnutrition, and poverty through research for development in tropical countries. IITA is seeking an Application Developer to develop, maintain, and support its RFU application

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for the RFU application using C# and .NET Framework
• Test new features to ensure quality and functionality before deployment
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues to maintain system stability and performance
• Develop and maintain technical and user documentation
• Train and support users in the effective use of the application
• Serve as the first point of contact for RFU users and resolve application-related issues promptly
• Apply software development, security, coding, and version control best practices
• Gather user requirements and support integration with relevant systems
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

• BSc, HND, or BTech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a well-structured organisation
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, application development, maintenance, and system integration
• Practical experience in web application development, database design, management, and integration
• Knowledge of user interface and user experience design principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
• Good interpersonal, teamwork, written, and verbal communication skills
