Senior DevOps Engineer

Seismic Consulting Group is seeking a skilled Mid-Level to Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimise its infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving infrastructure excellence, automation, and operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers in cloud and on-premises environments, including patching, hardening, backups, and disaster recovery
• Build and optimise Docker images, manage multi-container applications with Docker Compose, and operate Kubernetes workloads (Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, persistent storage, autoscaling)
• Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP networking, DNS, routing, firewalls, NAT, VPNs, TLS certificates, load balancing, and reverse proxies using Traefik
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins, including automated testing, security scanning, and rollback-ready release strategies
• Implement monitoring, centralised logging, and alerting with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
• Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and maintain operational runbooks and recovery procedures
• Apply least-privilege access, secure secret and credential management, and container security best practices
• Document infrastructure, deployment procedures, and operational standards, and identify ways to reduce costs and manual work

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or infrastructure experience (Mid-Level to Senior)
• Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills (CPU, memory, disk I/O, processes, logs, and networking)
• Solid hands-on experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, and Traefik
• Experience building CI/CD automation and managing production deployments across development, staging, and production
• Good understanding of networking, infrastructure security, and observability tooling
• Ability to work closely with software developers and engineering teams and take ownership of production systems
