Maintenance Officer
About this role
Quality Foods Africa is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer to maintain equipment, facilities, and technical systems while ensuring operational efficiency and minimising equipment downtime

- Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (On-site)
- Job Type: Full-time
- Compensation: NGN 100,000 - 150,000 per month
- Experience: 2 - 3 years

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and other systems
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests
- Maintain maintenance schedules, records, tools, and spare parts inventory
- Coordinate specialised repairs with external technicians and contractors
- Inspect facilities, identify potential faults, and recommend solutions
- Support the installation, servicing, and commissioning of new equipment
Requirements
- HND or BSc in HVAC/Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 2 - 3 years' relevant maintenance experience, preferably in food service, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, or commercial environments
- Strong practical knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, generators, pumps, and general building maintenance is an advantage
- Ability to diagnose faults, perform basic repairs, and respond to emergencies
- Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant technical certifications are an added advantage
