Distribution Extension (Field Sales) Officer

An FMCG (beverage) company is seeking Distribution Extension Officers to support its distribution expansion project by identifying, validating and onboarding new retail outlets across designated territories in various states

Job Details

• Locations: Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun and Kaduna States

• Salary: NGN 200,000 per month (NGN 95,000 net, plus up to NGN 100,000 and above in commission)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field mapping and identify new retail outlets within assigned territories
• Verify outlet locations, business classifications and sales potential
• Register and maintain accurate outlet information using the company's database and Sales Force Automation (SFA) system
• Analyse outlet clusters and recommend efficient route-to-market strategies
• Identify untapped market opportunities and prioritize outlets for expansion
• Support the onboarding and activation of newly identified outlets
• Prepare regular field reports, market insights and coverage updates
• Collaborate with Sales, Route-to-Market and Trade Marketing teams to drive successful project execution
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of outlet data

Requirements

• Minimum of OND or equivalent qualification in any discipline
• 1-2 years' experience in FMCG sales, field sales, merchandising, distribution or a related role
• Good understanding of Route-to-Market (RTM) and distribution operations
• Experience using Sales Force Automation (SFA) or similar data management tools is an advantage
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories
