Salary: ₦300,000 Net
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee the company's financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain regulatory compliance, and support effective financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have hands-on accounting experience within the polymer manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.
· Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
· Oversee inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
· Perform cost accounting activities, including product costing and variance analysis.
· Ensure timely preparation and filing of statutory tax returns and regulatory reports.
· Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
· Maintain compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
· Analyze financial data and provide insights to support management decision-making.
· Collaborate with production, procurement, and operations teams to improve cost efficiency and financial controls.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
· Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
· Minimum of 3–5 years' accounting experience within the polymer manufacturing industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
· Experience in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management is highly required.
· Proficiency in accounting software.
· Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and organizational skills.
· Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
