About this role
The Commercial Executive serves as an embedded member of the client's commercial team while remaining connected to a specialist commercial platform. The role is responsible for driving accommodation revenue, developing new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships and representing the property in the market while benefiting from shared commercial systems, market intelligence, continuous training and strategic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Generate new corporate accounts, identify and pursue business opportunities, conduct sales calls, presentations and client visits, and negotiate commercial agreements to drive revenue growth.
- Account Management: Manage and grow existing accounts by reactivating dormant clients, increasing business volume, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling.
- Commercial Performance: Drive revenue and room-night targets by supporting occupancy and ADR growth, monitoring commercial performance, and recommending actions to improve results.
- Market Representation: Represent the property at networking events, exhibitions, roadshows and client meetings.
- Commercial Intelligence: Monitor competitors and market trends, provide commercial insights and recommendations, and support informed pricing and business decisions.
- Reporting: Prepare regular commercial reports while maintaining accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and account analyses.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Reservations, Front Office, Revenue, Marketing, Operations and Finance.
- Platform Responsibilities: Participate in commercial reviews and weekly meetings, coaching and industry training while leveraging shared tools and market intelligence and contributing best practices across the wider client portfolio.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business or related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in hotel sales, business development or commercial operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Commercially driven with strong relationship-building ability.
