About this role

Standard Bank Group is recruiting a full-time, hybrid Information Technology Finance Analyst. Based on Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos, this role sits within Group Functions and is responsible for managing the technology department's operational and capital expenditure (OPEX & CAPEX) budgets, financial reporting, and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Planning: Coordinate annual technology budget formulation and manage overall departmental OPEX and CAPEX financial planning.
Financial Reporting & Insights: Prepare monthly and ad-hoc management reports for the Technology Management Committee, Board Technology Committee, and governance bodies.
Cost & Headcount Control: Oversee departmental expenses to ensure alignment with headcount, staffing changes, and overall technology strategy.
Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary finance liaison between IT, Procurement, internal/external auditors, Standard Bank Group matrix partners, and business units (PPB, CIB, BCB, GF, and Wealth).
Payment Approvals & Accruals: Review financial payment motivations, track vendor payments, manage General Ledger (GL) account postings on SAP Finance, and process monthly/year-end accruals.
Data Analytics & Efficiency: Utilize data visualization and AI tools to drive efficiency, analyze cost trends, and deliver business insights.

Requirements & Qualifications Education & Certifications

Degree: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Certifications: Professional qualifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CFA) are a distinct added advantage.

Experience & Technical Competencies

Years of Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in financial reporting, cost management, data insights, procurement finance, or business management.
Software & Analytics: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Power BI. Experience with SAP Finance is highly advantageous.
Tool Adoption: Ability to leverage AI tools and advanced analytical software to automate reporting workflows.
Core Skills: Strong quantitative analysis, data integrity, GL reconciliation, and written/verbal presentation skills.
