About this role
Tongston Entrepreneurship Group, a multi-award-winning brand providing entrepreneurial education, media, enterprise, and finance services, is recruiting a Product Designer (UI/UX). This 100% remote 12-month independent contractor role will support the design, quality assurance, and ongoing development of Tongston’s digital products and platforms—including its AI-powered ecosystem T-World, company websites, and client-managed software.

Job Title: Product Designer (UI/UX)

Location: Remote (Candidates based in Gombe, Bauchi, Ilorin, Lagos, or Abuja preferred; NYSC candidates considered for Gombe, Lagos, or Abuja)

Employment Type: Contract (12-month full-time paid independent contractor engagement)

Compensation: ₦120,000 monthly fee + Remote Productivity Support Package + ₦200,000 L&D budget + Company laptop
Key Responsibilities

Product & Experience Design: Design user journeys, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, site maps, and mock-ups for web, mobile, and third-party configured platforms.

User Research & Testing: Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis through surveys, interviews, and product analytics to drive continuous design improvements.

Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform routine testing, QA, and user acceptance reviews across websites and apps to ensure usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and design consistency.

Design Systems & Documentation: Maintain design consistency using design standards, reusable patterns, UI style guides, and structured documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, strategy, education, and media teams to align user requirements with technical delivery and product roadmaps.

Product Documentation & Handover: Create user adoption guides, walkthroughs, interface copy, and handover materials to ensure smooth product continuity.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Relevant qualification in Product Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in UI/UX, product design, or digital product support across web and mobile platforms.

Technical Proficiency: Excellent visual design skills with strong proficiency in Figma, Git version control, basic image editing, and UI/UX best practices.

Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of user-centered design, SEO principles affecting UI/UX, accessibility standards, and developer handoff processes.
Core Competencies

Strong UI/UX visual design, wireframing, and interactive prototyping capabilities.

Solid copy structuring skills for UI elements, prompts, labels, and microcopy.

Analytical mindset with product thinking ability to break down user needs, edge cases, and feature priorities.

Proactive, details-oriented, and effective at self-management in a sprint-based remote environment.

Familiarity with no-code/low-code platforms, CMS tools, HTML/CSS (SCSS), or Adobe Creative Suite is an added advantage.
