Procurement Officer

Hotel Capitol—a modern 32-room 3-star hotel located in Omole Phase 1, Lagos—is recruiting a Procurement Officer (Hotel) to join its operations team in Ojodu Berger, Lagos State.

This full-time role is responsible for vendor management, sourcing hotel supplies (F&B, housekeeping materials, maintenance parts, office consumables), negotiating pricing, maintaining stock controls, and managing procurement records in compliance with hotel budgets.

• Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos State (Proximity to Ojodu Berger, Ogba, Agege, Ikeja, Ojota, or Akute axis preferred)

• Sourcing & Purchasing: Purchase food and beverages, housekeeping consumables, maintenance supplies, and office essentials aligned with approved departmental budgets.

• Vendor & Contract Management: Identify reliable local suppliers, conduct regular market surveys, negotiate competitive pricing and terms, and resolve supply issues.

• Inventory & Quality Control: Work closely with storekeepers to track stock levels, prevent stockouts or overstocking, and inspect incoming deliveries for quality and quantity.

• Documentation & Audit Support: Process purchase orders, organize invoices and supplier contracts, and provide procurement records for periodic internal audits.

• Cross-Departmental Alignment: Coordinate supply requirements directly with kitchen, housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance teams.

• Education: Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Procurement, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of procurement experience (preferably within the hotel or hospitality sector).

• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting/inventory management principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

• Core Competencies: Strong vendor negotiation, cost control, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Location Preference: Candidates residing in proximity to Ojodu Berger, Ogba, Agege, Ikeja, Ojota, or Akute.
