Accountant

Ignite Energy Access—an Abu Dhabi-based leader in distributed renewable energy solutions serving over 15 million people across 12 African countries—is recruiting an Accountant (Inventory) for its Finance and Admin department in Lagos State. Reporting directly to the Tax Coordinator, this full-time role takes complete ownership of inventory accounting, landed cost calculations, Odoo ERP postings, stock reconciliations, and inventory loss elimination across regional warehouses and service centers.

• Landed Cost Computation & Allocation: Calculate landed costs by capturing all procurement, freight, customs duties, clearing, and logistics expenses to ensure accurate inventory valuation, pricing analysis, and financial reporting.

• Odoo ERP Management & Postings: Own all inventory-related postings in Odoo, maintaining Kit Bill of Materials (BOM) records, and managing kit assembly/disassembly workflows.

• Stock Reconciliation & Audits: Perform monthly reconciliations between physical stock counts and Odoo ERP values; collaborate with the Operations Inventory Manager on warehouse cycle counts and annual external audits.

• General Ledger & Loss Elimination: Reconcile inventory-related General Ledger accounts, prepare monthly adjustment journals, work to eliminate stock shrinkage/loss, and manage Slow-Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) inventory to maximize value recovery.

• Education: HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Certifications: Professional accounting certifications (ACA, ACCA, CFA, etc.) are preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of work experience in an inventory accounting role, with proven experience in balance sheet and income statement analysis.

• Software & Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP accounting systems (Odoo experience preferred).
