About this role

Groupe Aldelia Limited (Aldelia Nigeria)—a global human resources and recruitment consultancy—is recruiting a Static Equipment Engineer on behalf of an oil and gas client in Lagos State. This senior engineering role requires at least 15 years of experience in the design, technical specification, and integrity management of static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and columns) as well as supervision of piping systems, valve selection, and vendor documentation across offshore and onshore facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Design & Specification: Design and evaluate pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, columns, and associated piping systems; prepare and verify equipment datasheets, engineering deliverables, and technical bid evaluations.
Piping & Valve Integration: Oversee piping system designs and validate valve selection against process parameters, fluid characteristics, and operational pressure/temperature envelopes.
Compliance & Safety Audits: Ensure technical compliance with ASME, API, ISO, and project-specific codes; participate in HAZOP studies, Management of Change (MOC) assessments, and multidisciplinary design reviews.
Project Support & Vendor Oversight: Review vendor documentation, manage contractor submittals, and provide field engineering support across procurement, fabrication, installation, site testing, and commissioning phases (FEED, EPC, EPIC, Brownfield).

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. / B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of static equipment engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry across both offshore and onshore projects.
Technical Proficiencies: Static Equipment Design, Pressure Vessels (ASME VIII), Storage Tanks (API 650/620), Heat Exchangers (TEMA/ASME), Piping Systems (ASME B31.3), Valve Selection, Vendor Document Review, HAZOP, and MOC.
Preferred Certifications: COREN registration (or foreign equivalent); relevant API, ASME, or HSE credentials are a strong advantage.
