About this role
Dinsanj Ventures Limited—a logistics, freight forwarding, and customs clearing agency—is recruiting an Account & Administrative Officer for its port operations office in Apapa, Lagos State.
Reporting to the Operations Director, this dual-function role serves as the operational and financial hub for the firm, managing trade portal customs documentation, shipping line payment processing, container deposit refund tracking, tax filing, and administrative facility oversight.
Key Responsibilities

Customs Documentation & Trade Portal Operations: Generate and verify Customs Assessment Notices on the Nigeria Single Window Trade Portal; archive clearing documents including Bills of Lading, Form M, PAAR, and Packing Lists.

Shipping Line & Terminal Financials: Process payments for shipping charges, terminal fees, and container deposits; track container return windows to prevent demurrage; aggressively pursue deposit refunds from shipping lines.

Client Invoicing & Profitability Reconciliation: Prepare itemized invoices separating official port charges from agency fees; conduct post-clearing reconciliations to analyze net margins per shipment.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Compute and file monthly VAT/WHT returns with the FIRS; manage operational license renewals with CRFFN, Nigerian Shippers’ Council, and NCS; track NAFDAC, SONCAP, and NESREA permits.

Office Administration & Dispatch Management: Coordinate field clearing clerks and dispatch riders for port document submission; manage office utilities, supplies, and general administrative upkeep.
Requirements & Qualifications

Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Trade Modernization project, Apapa terminal protocols, and shipping line procedures.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting platforms (QuickBooks/Sage), and trade regulatory portal navigation.

Core Competencies: Demurrage prevention, container deposit recovery, customs documentation archiving, port cost reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.
