About this role
Tincan Island Container Terminal Limited (TICT)—concessionaire of Terminal B at Tin-can Island Port, Apapa—is recruiting high-potential engineering graduates for its Management Trainee Program 2026. This early-career leadership development track aims to train technically driven engineering graduates to optimize heavy equipment maintenance, cargo handling infrastructure, digital applications, and operational efficiency across the port terminal.
Key Focus Areas & Trainee Responsibilities

Operational Efficiency & Diagnostics: Shadow senior engineers on maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across cargo handling equipment (cranes, RTGs, reach stackers).

Digital & Technical Integration: Utilize Microsoft Excel, data analytics frameworks, and AI tools to track operational downtime, preventative maintenance schedules, and machinery efficiency metrics.

Cross-Functional Rotations: Exposure to port terminal workflows, equipment dispatching, safety systems, and terminal management software.

Academic Criteria: HND or B.Sc./B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (2:1 / Upper Credit minimum).

Age Ceiling: Must not be older than 28 years at the time of application.

Technical & Digital Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis; familiarity with AI tools and digital applications is an added advantage.

Soft Skills: Sharp analytical aptitude, proactive problem-solving, strong communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
