System Control Officer

About the Role
Abbey Mortgage Bank is recruiting a System Control Officer to implement IT control frameworks, manage identity and access controls, and coordinate regulatory compliance within banking and financial services. The role is based in Lagos, Nigeria (Victoria Island headquarters; onsite, full-time).
Key Responsibilities
- Implement IT control frameworks aligned with COBIT, ISO 27001, and CBN guidelines
- Manage identity and access controls across banking systems
- Monitor system performance and conduct technical reviews
- Support revenue assurance, fraud detection, and IT risk management
- Coordinate IT audits and ensure regulatory compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's or MBA is a plus)
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or ISO 27001 required
- 5-8 years' experience in IT controls or information security within banking or financial services
- Experience with COBIT, ISO 27001, and CBN guidelines
