ABNL Limited is a Nigerian oil and gas services company recruiting for its operations and maintenance team.
Role OverviewThe Maintenance Systems Specialist ensures equipment and spare parts meet defined standards and regulatory requirements, working mainly within computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as SAP and IPES, and supporting contract administration after contract award. Typical positions in this family include Materials Specialist, IPES Specialist, GEMS Specialist, STRIPES Specialist and Contract Administration Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Support sustained operational reliability that complies with applicable laws and regulations while preventing safety, health and environmental incidents.
- Maintain communication and interface with Operations, Maintenance and Logistics teams.
- Adhere to company operations integrity and controls integrity systems and procedures, contributing to their review and improvement.
- Support Field Maintenance Unit personnel and provide guidance on procurement processes.
- Maintain central contract files.
- Liaise between the Field Unit and Procurement to ensure contracts and contractors are available to deliver goods and services.
- Work closely with Procurement on contract renewal, award, resolution and follow-up actions.
- Help develop contract work scopes and technical pre-qualifications for new contracts, based on input from operations owners and maintenance personnel.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of the computerized maintenance management system, entering and extracting data to support site maintenance needs.
- Order materials and replacement parts, document transactions, maintain inventory files, process invoices and coordinate payments.
- Previous experience in a closely related position.
- Good understanding of safety, health and environmental (SHE) requirements.
- Analytical capability, applied learning, collaboration, effective communication and sound decision-making.
- Functional skills in SSHE management, maintenance planning, scheduling and maintenance management.
- Relevant discipline certification(s) or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps.
- Team player, effective when working with people over whom there is no direct authority.
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads and frequent changes in priorities.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
