Media Buyer and Planning Manager
About this role
PeSS Group is seeking an experienced Media Buyer and Planning Manager to develop media strategies, manage media procurement, and execute campaigns across traditional and digital channels while maximizing client return on investment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop media strategies, plans, and budget allocations across TV, radio, out-of-home, print, digital, and influencer channels.
- Lead media procurement, vendor sourcing, negotiation, and buying to secure competitive rates and prime placements.
- Manage media budgets with a focus on cost efficiency, savings, and value optimization.
- Manage vendor pre-qualification, evaluation, contracting, and post-campaign reconciliation.
- Analyze market data, audience insights, and competitor activity to guide media planning.
- Oversee campaign execution, monitoring, optimization, and reporting.
- Build and maintain relationships with media houses, vendors, and publishers.
- Prepare media plans, performance reports, and post-buy analyses for clients.
- Supervise Media Executives and ensure timely delivery of media tasks.
- Three to five years of experience in media buying and planning within a media or advertising agency.
- Strong experience in media procurement, vendor sourcing, negotiation, and cost management.
- Strong knowledge of Nigeria's traditional and digital media landscape.
- Proficiency in media planning tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and client management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
