Accountant

About the Role

Oncue Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join its growing logistics company in Lagos, Nigeria (onsite). The role manages financial records, ensures regulatory compliance, handles tax obligations, and supports the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle payroll processing and statutory deductions.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and file tax returns including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and other statutory obligations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and tax consultants.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Support internal and external audit processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years' accounting experience, preferably in the logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of taxation, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Compensation

NGN 300,000 - 350,000 per month.
