IT Manager

The British Council is recruiting an IT Manager to provide collaborative management of the IT function in its Nigeria offices, especially Lagos and Kano. The role is responsible for day-to-day IT service delivery, technical support, service consistency, IT infrastructure, project support, systems security, budgeting and procurement.

Key accountabilities include managing local IT incidents and service requests within agreed service levels; identifying complex enquiries for resolution or escalation; ensuring compliance with IT policies, security, equipment disposal, software licensing, antivirus and service-usage standards; and line-managing IT Support Officers. The role also includes delegating tasks, supporting facilities colleagues in Kano and Port Harcourt, and developing the team.

Requirements include English proficiency at least at B2 level in all four skills, MCP Windows 2016, and three years of experience as IT personnel.
