Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards
- Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Organise safety training and awareness programmes for employees and contractors
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare reports
- Ensure availability and proper use of PPE where necessary
- Monitor fire safety equipment, emergency exits, and evacuation procedures
- Maintain accurate H&S records and advise management on risk prevention and safety improvements
Requirements
- OND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or related field
- Relevant professional certification in Health and Safety is an added advantage
- Previous experience in health and safety, preferably construction, property management, or facilities management
- Good knowledge of workplace safety standards, risk assessment, and hazard prevention
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct inspections, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records
- Attention to detail; ability to work independently and in a team
