HBM Nigeria Plc is seeking a Procurement Operations Manager to oversee local purchasing operations, supplier relationships, procurement processes, and cost optimisation

Key Responsibilities

• Implement local procurement strategies in collaboration with Category Managers
• Manage operational purchasing of local goods and services, including contracts within approved thresholds
• Coordinate operational buyers and ensure ethical procurement practices
• Establish and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) with internal stakeholders
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier service performance
• Maintain procurement dashboards and prepare weekly and monthly reports
• Coordinate procurement review meetings and follow up on agreed actions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, purchase order procedures, and procurement policies
• Review purchase requisitions, control costs, and identify opportunities for savings
• Propose supply agreements and blanket orders for recurring purchases
• Monitor contractor performance and communicate environmental policies to vendors
• Drive procurement process improvements and optimise working capital

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain
• First-level university degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree may be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and business processes
• Project management, follow-up, and negotiation skills
• Proactiveness, transparency, and strong human and business administration skills
