Accountant

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to manage bookkeeping, clean up financial records, and maintain accurate accounts using modern accounting software. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with cloud-based accounting tools and resolving discrepancies in financial records.

What You’ll Do
* Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
* Perform accounting clean-up, including reviewing and correcting historical transactions and discrepancies.
* Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial records.
* Review and organise transaction records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
* Manage and update accounting records using QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, Odoo, or similar software.
* Prepare financial reports and account summaries as required.
* Identify errors, inconsistencies, and gaps in financial records and resolve them appropriately.
* Maintain proper documentation and ensure financial records are well organised.
* Support month-end closing and other accounting activities.
* Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and integrity.

What We’re Looking For
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification, such as ICAN or ACA. ICAN is preferred.
* Practical experience in bookkeeping, accounting clean-up, and financial reconciliations.
* Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, Odoo, or similar accounting software.
* Ability to review messy or incomplete financial records, identify discrepancies, and bring accounts up to date.
* Good understanding of accounting principles, transaction categorisation, and financial reporting.
* Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage financial records remotely.
* High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.

Not for: Candidates without the required professional accounting qualification or practical experience using accounting software.
