About this role
We are seeking an experienced audit professional to support the Head of Internal Audit and Control in safeguarding financial integrity, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will lead day-to-day audit activities and assume delegated authority in the Head's absence
Job Details
- Location: Lagos, Nigeria
- Job Type: Full-time, Onsite
- Compensation: NGN 800,000 - 900,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise and execute audits in line with the department's audit plan
- Evaluate internal controls, risk management and governance processes, recommending improvements
- Review and quality-assure audit reports and working papers
- Investigate suspected fraud, policy breaches and financial misconduct
- Oversee transaction monitoring, including pre-disbursement checks and daily postings call-over
- Track implementation of audit recommendations across departments
- Coach, train and appraise audit staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years' relevant experience in internal audit, internal control or risk management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CIA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage
- Strong analytical, report-writing and communication skills
- Proven leadership and people-management abilities, integrity and sound judgment
- Experience in a structured corporate or financial services environment is preferred
