About this role
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE Commission-Based Probation | Path to Full-Time Employment
Africa Metals & Minerals Company (AMMC) is looking for ambitious, commercially minded professionals to join our Business Development team.
If you enjoy building relationships, identifying opportunities, closing deals, and growing strategic business networks, we'd like to hear from you.
As a Business Development Associate, you will help expand AMMC's network by identifying buyers, suppliers, strategic partners, and commercial opportunities across Nigeria, Africa, and international markets.
This role begins with a 6-month performance-based probation period, after which outstanding performers will be considered for a full-time position with salary, corporate benefits, and long-term career progression.
Your Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities for AMMC.

Identify and onboard verified buyers and suppliers.

Build relationships with manufacturers, mining companies, recyclers, commodity traders, procurement professionals, exporters, logistics companies, financial institutions, and industrial businesses.

Generate qualified leads and convert them into commercial opportunities.

Represent AMMC at meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and business engagements.

Work closely with the operations team to support successful transaction execution.

Contribute to AMMC's commercial growth strategy across local and international markets.
Commission Structure
During the initial 6-month probation period, this is a 100% performance-based role.
You will earn commissions on:

Completed transactions originating from buyers you onboard.

Completed transactions originating from suppliers you onboard.

Transactions completed by Business Development Associates or Sourcing Agents you personally introduce to AMMC.
There is no earning cap—your income is directly linked to the business you generate and the network you build.
Exceptional performers may also qualify for additional performance incentives based on commercial impact.
Transition to Full-Time Employment
Business Development Associates who consistently achieve performance targets, demonstrate professionalism, and contribute meaningfully to AMMC's growth during the probation period will be considered for a full-time role with:

Who We're Looking For
We're seeking professionals who:

Have experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account management, procurement, consulting, or client relationship management.

Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Are commercially driven and confident engaging with senior decision-makers.

Can work independently while delivering measurable results.

Have strong professional networks or the ability to build them quickly.

Are passionate about contributing to the growth of African businesses and industries.
Experience within mining, minerals, recycling, manufacturing, commodity trading, procurement, logistics, petrochemicals, oil & gas, exports, imports, finance, or industrial sectors is an advantage but not mandatory.
