We're looking for an exceptional Head of Trade Finance & Accounting to build and lead the financial backbone of our Company.

This is not a traditional accounting role. It is a strategic executive position for a commercially minded finance leader who understands how capital, banking, trade finance, governance, and commercial strategy come together to build enduring businesses.

We are seeking someone with the credibility to represent AMMC before banks, investors, governments, regulators, multinational corporations, and strategic partners across Africa and internationally.

The role begins with a 6-month commission-based performance engagement, after which exceptional performance will lead to a full-time executive appointment.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Building and leading AMMC's Finance & Accounting function.

• Designing financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting systems.

• Leading budgeting, treasury, financial planning, forecasting, taxation, and statutory compliance.

• Structuring domestic and international trade finance transactions.

• Managing Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), escrow arrangements, and other structured finance instruments.

• Building relationships with commercial banks, development finance institutions, investment firms, export credit agencies, insurers, and strategic financial partners.

• Advising the Executive Team on capital raising, financial strategy, profitability, pricing, and corporate growth.

• Supporting high-value commercial negotiations and transaction structuring.

• Developing financial models for investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and major commercial opportunities.

• Building a high-performing finance team capable of supporting AMMC's long-term expansion.

Performance-Based Engagement

This role begins with a 6-month commission-based engagement.

Rather than a traditional salary, we are looking for someone confident in their ability to create measurable commercial value.

During this period, you will earn commissions on:

• Commercial transactions successfully structured or supported through your financial expertise.

• Banking, investment, financing, or institutional partnerships you originate.

• Capital introductions, financing solutions, and strategic relationships that generate measurable value for AMMC.

• High-value commercial opportunities resulting from your professional network and leadership.

There is no earning cap.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly accomplished finance professional with an exceptional reputation for execution.

Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:

• Trade Finance

• Corporate Finance

• Investment Banking

• Commercial Banking

• Treasury

• Structured Commodity Finance

• Financial Control

• Accounting

• Private Equity

• Project Finance

• Mining, Energy, Manufacturing, or Industrial Finance

Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CFA, CPA, MBA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• An influential network across commercial banks, investment firms, development finance institutions, sovereign wealth funds, export credit agencies, insurers, regulators, multinational corporations, and institutional investors.

• A proven ability to structure and execute complex commercial and cross-border financial transactions.

• Outstanding commercial judgement and strategic thinking.

• A reputation for integrity, professionalism, and delivering results.

• Experience advising executive leadership or boards on financial strategy and corporate growth.

• Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
