About this role
Primote Africa, a premium fashion and apparel house is recruiting a full-time Fashion Production Manager (Can Sew) to lead its garment manufacturing operations. Based in Ikate, Lekki, Lagos, this on-site role bridges technical garment construction with team leadership.
The successful candidate will oversee the entire factory floor, design production schedules, monitor material utilization, and directly assist with precision sewing and sampling to maintain high finishing standards. On-site accommodation is provided to support operational continuity.

Production Floor Supervision: Direct daily garment production workflows, supervise factory tailors, and allocate production tasks efficiently to meet strict order deadlines.

Technical Garment Construction: Execute high-quality cutting, pattern cutting, and precision sewing/sampling alongside the tailoring team when handling complex orders.

Quality Control & Finishing: Enforce corporate finishing metrics, perform meticulous garment inspections before packaging, and minimize fabric modifications or production errors.

Inventory & Material Logistics: Track fabric usage, manage apparel trims/accessories, monitor inventory levels, and prevent material wastage.

Schedule Planning: Outline weekly production timelines and track order progress from initial cutting to final ironing and delivery.

Education & Training: Formal certification from a recognized fashion academy, technical tailoring institute, or a relevant diploma is highly valued.

Experience Baseline: Proven experience operating as a Fashion Production Manager, Garment Factory Supervisor, or Head Tailor.

Technical Tailoring Skill: Advanced hands-on sewing, draping, and garment construction capabilities are mandatory.

Domain Knowledge: Extensive familiarity with diverse fabric behaviors (e.g., silk, cotton, structured fabrics), garment patterns, sizing adjustments, and high-end finishing techniques.

Core Skills: Strong team leadership traits, sharp eye for detail, and the ability to organize staff effectively under high-volume pressure.
