Assistant Factory Manager

Wurafadaka, an African-inspired contemporary fashion house specializing in trendy, urban, and traditional designs, is recruiting a full-time Assistant Factory Manager. This tactical role is designed to help scale production pipelines and showcase the strength of African fashion on a global stage.

The factory floor requires an energetic assistant manager to oversee garment assembly workflows, balance material inventories, track production timelines, and manage quality assurance standards.

• Production Line Supervision: Monitor everyday garment assembly operations to ensure seamstresses, tailors, and cutters meet production targets.

• Quality Assurance Audits: Inspect incoming raw textiles, accessories, and finished apparel lines against strict brand quality guidelines before warehouse distribution.

• Inventory Control: Monitor fabric stock usage patterns, track sewing notions, and assist the senior manager with local material procurement schedules.

• Workflow Optimization: Manage daily production timelines, log completed item sheets, and flag operational bottlenecks on the factory floor.

• Administrative Support: Assist with team attendance logging, organize production design folders, and help maintain a safe, highly efficient factory layout.

• Target Profile: Currently serving NYSC Corps Members looking for a primary assignment (PPA) placement in Lagos.

• Education & Qualification: Relevant background or practical certifications in Fashion Design, Production Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Sector Familiarity: Prior experience or deep foundational knowledge in apparel production, garment tailoring workflows, or fashion manufacturing logistics.

• Core Competencies: Clear communication skills, structured problem-solving instincts, comfort with supervising artisan teams, and strong time management skills.
