Data Analyst

Evans Industries Limited, an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer of high-quality home and personal care products with over two decades of operational excellence, is recruiting a detail-oriented Data Analyst. Based in Ogba, Lagos, this full-time commercial analytics professional will transform raw sales, inventory, and trade data into actionable business insights, build management dashboards, support annual budgeting, and optimize sales forecasting across FMCG distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Management & Dashboarding: Design and maintain advanced management reports, interactive dashboards, and automated models using Power Query, Pivot Tables, and complex Excel formulas.
• Sales Forecasting & Budgeting: Build accurate regional and national sales forecasts using historical performance data and market intelligence to guide annual target setting, target allocation, and commercial strategy.
• Inventory & Trade Analytics: Analyze stock movement, inventory aging, product availability, and replenishment cycles to optimize supply chain execution and prevent stock-outs.
• Commercial & Board Presentations: Synthesize complex commercial metrics, market trends, and competitor benchmarking into executive-level PowerPoint presentations for Management, EXCO, and Board reviews.
• Distributor & Market Insights: Monitor distributor performance, price execution, and trade promotions, translating sales data into commercial recommendations to drive revenue growth.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of active hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the FMCG, manufacturing, or retail distribution sectors.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Mastery of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Power Query, complex nested logic, and automated dashboards).
• Proficiency in compiling management reports and executive presentations using PowerPoint.
• Practical working knowledge and usage of enterprise ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for sales and inventory data extraction.
