About this role
Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc—a leading national Primary Mortgage Bank licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)—is recruiting a full-time Investor Relations Officer. Based in Lagos, this strategic corporate position leads investor engagement, shareholder relations, regulatory disclosures, capital raising support, and market communications for the listed entity.
Key Responsibilities-
Investor Engagement & Communications: Organize and coordinate investor roadshows, annual general meetings (AGMs), earnings calls, analyst briefings, and one-on-one stakeholder sessions.

Financial & Reporting Documentation: Draft quarterly earnings releases, annual reports, investor pitch decks, board presentations, and regulatory communications.

Capital Markets & Advisory Support: Support capital raising activities, track equity/debt market trends, monitor institutional shareholder movements, and deliver market intelligence to senior management and the Board.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to Nigerian Exchange (NGX), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and CBN disclosure requirements and governance frameworks.

Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Certifications: Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, CIS, or CIMA are considered a strong advantage.

Years of Experience: 5 to 8 years of total relevant experience, with at least 3 years directly in Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Financial Reporting, or Capital Markets.

Mandatory Background: Candidates must have current experience working in a commercial bank and prior experience in a publicly quoted company (PLC), preferably a listed financial institution.

In-depth understanding of Nigerian financial markets, capital market operations, statutory financial reporting, and SEC/NGX disclosure standards.

Superior executive communication, presentation, and financial analysis skills.
