Accountant

Techno Oil Limited, an integrated indigenous company with investments in oil, gas, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing, is recruiting an Accountant. This role will oversee corporate financial transactions, unit/project budgets, expenditure controls, tax processing, and general ledger operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Ledger Operations: Prepare profit and loss statements, monthly cost accounting reports, payroll entries, invoices, and general ledger transactions.

• Budgeting & Expenditure Control: Oversee annual and project-specific unit budgets, analyze revenue/expenditure trends, and ensure strict expenditure monitoring.

• Tax Management & Statutory Returns: Process corporate tax payments, tax returns, and statutory regulatory filings accurately.

• Internal Controls & System Supervision: Maintain accounting control procedures, supervise data entry in automated financial systems (e.g., Sage), and coordinate audit-ready records.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Professional Credentials: ACCA, ACA, or CFA certification is an added advantage.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an Accountant, with direct exposure to the Oil & Gas sector.

• Software & Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software (like Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
